Gov. Mary Fallin used Monday's occasion to welcome the newly sworn transportation commissioners she appointed to office to also commemorate the state Transportation Department's centennial.
Fallin, attending her first Transportation Commission meeting since taking office in January, also welcomed Federal Highway Administrator Victor Mendez, who Monday met with state transportation officials and talked about a federal program to have state and federal agencies work together to accelerate construction projects.
Mendez on Sunday took part in the 5k race in the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon to remember the 11 Federal Highway Administration workers and all 168 who died as a result of the April 19, 1995, Murrah Building bombing... FULL ARTICLE
