NORMAN — City officials want to develop a comprehensive transportation plan for Norman.
To arrive at a plan, the city has hired a consulting firm to help host a series of ward meetings to identify needs and gather public input. The first of the meetings will be Monday.
The process of developing a comprehensive transportation plan is being called Moving Forward, because it will happen over a period of years and be done in stages, assistant traffic engineer David Riesland said in a news release.
The completed comprehensive plan will identify future transportation needs for the community, set goals and priorities and outline short-term and long-term capital investment measures to pay for street improvements and construction of new streets and roads, Riesland said... FULL ARTICLE
