Norman residents approve transportation bond, reject stormwater bond in April 2 election

In the Tuesday election, residents of Norman approved a proposition for a transportation bond but rejected a proposal for a stormwater bond and a separate proposal for a stormwater utility fee.

Propositions 1, 2 and 3, which were collectively called, “Vision for Norman,” aimed to address infrastructural issues related to transportation and stormwater.

Proposition 1, a $72 million transportation bond which would undertake 19 transportation projects, act as a renewal of a similar 2012 bond and maintain the current tax rate, was approved with 9,038 votes for the proposition and 4,601 votes against... FULL ARTICLE
