NORMAN — City council members tonight will get a progress report on design plans and funding possibilities for improvements to the downtown Porter Avenue corridor between Alameda and Robinson streets. The council will meet at 6:30 p.m. in the Municipal Building’s council chambers, 201 W Gray St.
A plan for redesigning the corridor has been adopted by the city council, but no plans to implement the designs have been approved.
An administrative delay in issuing building permits for the corridor has been in effect while a Kansas City, Mo., design team developed a long-range design plan for the area.
