NORMAN — Norman voters may get an opportunity to approve $34.5 million in bonds to move forward with a major transportation and storm water improvement package this summer.
The proposed package would address eight projects, with federal funding picking up more than $37 million — more than half the total estimated cost of $71.5 million.
“These are very solid numbers,” said Shawn O’Leary, Public Works director. “Our engineers are very conservative.”
If the bond package were approved by voters, it would clear up about $11 million for other capital improvement projects, O’Leary said.
