It's hard to drive across Tulsa County without passing orange construction barrels.
The reflective barrels stretch from the downtown Inner Dispersal Loop, south to 81st Street and east to Interstate 44 in Catoosa.
They line bridges, city streets and state highways.
They close lanes, slow traffic and block entrance ramps.
In all, more than $550 million in road and bridge construction by the city and the Oklahoma Department of Transportation is ongoing or approved in Tulsa. That's about $130 million more than ODOT has planned for the entire county for the eight-year span from 2011 to 2018, though that number doesn't include maintenance projects... FULL ARTICLE
