The two right lanes of east and westbound Interstate 244 will be closed at Harvard Avenue from 9 a.m. Tuesday until further notice as part of a city of Tulsa bridge deck project above the highway, the Oklahoma Department of Transportation announced.

Officials said that this closure is a precautionary measure to protect traffic under the bridge.

As part of Tulsa's Inner Dispersal Loop project, all lanes of eastbound I-244 are closed on the north and west legs of the IDL until early 2011. The south and east legs of the IDL are the primary detour routes around the closures, officials said.

Ramps closed until further notice include:

- Eastbound I-244 on and off-ramps at Cincinnati and Detroit avenues (on thenorth leg of Tulsa's IDL).
- Northbound and southbound U.S. 75 ramps to eastbound I-244 (the southwest corner of Tulsa's IDL).
- Southbound Tisdale Parkway off-ramp to westbound U.S. 412/U.S. 64/Oklahoma 51.
