ODOT chooses route for Highway 82 projects

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation, in cooperation with the Federal Highway Administration, has selected the final alternatives regarding the project to improve State Highway 82 from the end of Bertha Parker Bypass in Tahlequah, extending north and west to the town of Gideon.

For the south segment of the project, alternative route 1-A was selected over route 9-5, and will begin at the end of the Bertha Parker Bypass in Tahlequah, and extend to West 710 Road. For the north segment, a single alternative – alternative 7 – was selected and will begin at West 710 Road and extend to Gideon.

The Federal Highway Administration issued a Finding of No Significant Impact for the proposed action in April, based on the environmental assessment produced by ODOT.
