RAMONA - An Oklahoma Department of Transportation worker was killed by a car Wednesday on U.S. 75 south of Bartlesville, authorities said.
Ira Lee Henderson, 42, of Bartlesville died at the scene, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.
Henderson was struck by the car about 8 a.m. as his crew prepared to remove raised pavement markers from the highway, ODOT spokeswoman Kenna Mitchell said.
The car's driver, Deven Wayne Franklin, 18, of Skiatook, was taken to an Owasso hospital, where he was treated and released, the Highway Patrol reported.
Franklin, whose Pontiac Grand Am veered slightly to the left while southbound on U.S. 75, struck Henderson, who reportedly was standing on the line between the closed inside lane and open outside lane of traffic, the report says... FULL ARTICLE
