TAHLEQUAH — Tahlequah city officials will contact the Oklahoma Department of Transportation to discuss traffic control at a busy local intersection.
Kathy Childers expressed the need for some type of traffic control at Mahaney Avenue/Mimosa Avenue and the State Highway 51 Bypass. Childers stopped and helped injured people in a three-vehicle crash there on Nov. 3.

“I’ve lived here eight years and I’ve seen four serious crashes there,” she told Mayor Ken Purdy and the council. “I don’t know the cure. I don’t know anything about traffic control.” FULL ARTICLE
