(AP) OKLAHOMA CITY — Oklahoma is one of several states that are not expected to meet all the requirements of a Jan. 30 deadline for changes to its commercial driver's license procedures, but state officials say they're confident the changes will be made without risking the loss its federal highway funds.
As many as one-third of states have indicated they may not meet the deadline for requiring interstate truck drivers to provide proof from a medical professional that they are healthy enough to drive, according to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.
