Brown said his revenue at the car wash on Britton Road between Council and County Line has tanked during the past year as a street-widening project has dragged on and caused his customers to drive over an entryway that would immediately dirty the cars they just cleaned.
"My revenues have dropped 90 percent, and I don't have enough money each month to pay the utility bills," he said.
Brown isn't the only one upset with delays on Oklahoma City street projects. Several members of the city council complained at a strategic planning session last week that projects are taking too long and are unnecessarily inconveniencing city residents and motorists.
Ward 1 Councilman Gary Marrs, who represents the area of Brown's business, said he has had numerous complaints on both the Britton project and a nearby project on Wilshire Boulevard... FULL ARTICLE
