Oklahoma Department of Transportation Issues a Highway Conditions Alert

OKLAHOMA (KAMR/KCIT) - Oklahoma Department of Transportation crews are treating bridges in Beaver, Harper, Ellis and Woodward counties.

As of 8 p.m. Saturday, there is a Highway Conditions Alert for the counties previously listed. The areas with wet roads and cold temperatures have the greatest potential for slick spots to quickly develop.

With temperatures forecast to remain below freezing overnight, conditions are likely to deteriorate.  Crews will continue to monitor conditions overnight, treated with sand and salt as needed until temperatures climb above freezing.

Motorists should plan extra travel time in the Panhandle and northwest Oklahoma and be aware of road conditions before leaving. Drivers should use extra caution on bridges and overpasses... FULL ARTICLE
