UNDATED -- Crews are working on the final phase of the Highway 169 widening project. The Oklahoma Department of Transportation opened the lanes in December but had to wait for warmer weather to put down the top layer.
They say that layer will help cars grip the road better and make it easier for drivers to see during rainy weather.
Over the next three weeks, crews will close various lanes in each both north and side directions while they work, so drivers should plan for some delays.
