Oklahoma lawmaker says eliminating capital gains deduction not likely

The state's largest teachers union has demanded an elimination of the capital gains tax deduction to end the current teacher walkout, but a House leader doesn't see that becoming a reality this year.

“I don't think that is going to be the path this year,” said House Majority Floor Leader Jon Echols, who added he still believes significant revenue for education can be achieved next week.
