The Oklahoma Supreme Court is being asked — for the second time in a month — to decide whether a bill dealing with state highway and bridge money is constitutional.
A legal challenge was filed Thursday with the high court contesting a bill that deals with future appropriations to the state Transportation Department as well as transferring $101.7 million to be spent on other purposes this fiscal year.
Jerry Fent, an Oklahoma City attorney, said in his lawsuit that the measure violates the state constitution's “one subject matter” rule.
