Senate leaders promised to find money to fund the state’s senior nutrition program in next year’s budget under an agreement reached Wednesday, ending a budget stalemate.
In exchange for a commitment to fund the senior nutrition program for 2011, Senate Democrats agreed to support bills that would free up cash to pay for supplemental appropriations for several agencies, including the Department of Public Safety and the state Corrections Department.
