A national bridge study released this week ranked Oklahoma's bridges second-worst in the nation.
Pennsylvania beat out Oklahoma for the state with the highest percentage of structurally deficient structures.
Structurally deficient bridges are those that need significant maintenance or replacement.
According to a Transportation for America study, 26.5 percent of Pennsylvania's bridges are in need of repairs, compared with 22 percent of Oklahoma's bridges.
Nevada's bridges are the best in the nation, with 2.2 percent needing repairs.
"Preserving Oklahoma's existing transportation system is crucial to ensuring regional prosperity, safety and a higher quality of life," James Corless, director of Transportation for America, said in a news release... FULL ARTICLE
