Oklahoma's Tuesday runoff elections expected to have light turnout

Spotty to light turnout is expected for Tuesday's runoff elections, which in much of the state involves only the Republican insurance commissioner race.

Republican congressional runoffs are also scheduled for the 2nd and 5th Districts, as well as one state Senate and seven state House districts.

The only races in Tulsa County are for the Republican insurance commissioner nominee and the Democratic nominee in House District 66.

That district runs from Tulsa's Swan Lake neighborhood to west of Sand Springs and includes a small area around Oklahoma State University Health Sciences Center and Eugene Field Elementary School.

Probably the most closely watched race of the night is the 5th Congressional District Republican runoff between Kevin Calvey and James Lankford. The winner will be heavily favored to succeed Mary Fallin, who is giving up the seat to run for governor... FULL ARTICLE
