The Oklahoma Department of Transportation reports that work to remove a bridge at the intersection of I-44 and 193rd E Ave. has finished more than half a day ahead of schedule.
Crews dismantled the old eastbound I-44 bridge in Catoosa, deemed "structurally deficient and functionally obsolete" by ODOT. Eastbound traffic has been shifted onto a recently-completed new overpass.
193rd E Ave. was closed in both directions at the junction at midnight while crews demolished the bridge. All lanes have been re-opened twelve hours before a target finish time of 6 a.m. Monday morning... FULL ARTICLE
