Travelers who use U.S. Highway 75 will notice a big change at 111th Street, if they haven't already.
The overpass routing 111th Street traffic over the highway opened Saturday — which means the signal that has slowed travel for years could finally be removed, said Oklahoma Department of Transportation Kenna Mitchell.
"We've definitely heard from drivers saying it's amazing that they don't have to stop at the signal any more," Mitchell said.
Some work — including planting sod, moving dirt and erecting guardrails — remains to be completed, but enough of the project was finished to allow traffic to begin using the intersection last weekend, Mitchell said... FULL ARTICLE
