Legislators will decide whether the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority should consider building a new toll road in Tulsa.
The House Transportation Committee approved House Bill 3220, which would request the Turnpike Authority to consider the feasibility of the new toll road. The vote was 11-0. It now goes to the House.
The road would connect Tisdale Parkway, which goes into the northwest part of Tulsa, into a planned western section of Gilcrease Expressway, said Turnpike Authority spokesman Jack Damrill.
The toll road then would continue south from that junction, across the Arkansas River and end at the junction of the Creek and Turner turnpikes, he said...
