A crumbling bridge led to traffic problems Sunday night when a chunk of pavement fell near the Keystone Dam.
The 2-foot hole developed in the outside westbound lane of the Keystone Expressway at its junction with Oklahoma 151 — the road that goes across the dam west of Sand Springs.
Authorities closed part of the road to allow for emergency repairs to the bridge deck, according to the Oklahoma Department of Transportation.
ODOT spokeswoman Kenna Mitchell said a motorist reported the damage to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, which in turn notified ODOT about 6 p.m.
Mitchell said a recent stretch of bad weather could have contributed to the bridge damage. No vehicles were reported damaged, she said... FULL ARTICLE
