CATOOSA – The City of Tulsa-Rogers County Port Authority on Thursday approved two contracts totaling $289,408 for construction projects at the main entrance to the Port of Catoosa.
The authority members approved a $149,408 contract to Florida-based RailWorks Signal & Communication Inc., to reconstruct the railroad crossing at the Main Parkway near the entrance to the port.
The board also agreed to a $140,000 contract to replace the Main Parkway Security Building, to Sapulpa-based Helterbrand Builders LLC.
In December 2008, the authority voted to spend $3.3 million on its Main Parkway Improvements Project, said David Yarbrough, port deputy director and operations manager.
“Subsequently, the authority awarded a $2.8 million contract to Fourth Generation Contractors to construct two lanes of a divided road on the Main Parkway. That work is progressing,” Yarbrough said... FULL ARTICLE
