NORMAN — Construction is to begin this week on the long-awaited Robinson Street railroad underpass, city officials said.
A four-lane detour will be built on the north side of the existing Robinson Street roadway to provide motorists access to Flood and Stubbeman avenues, Norman Public Works Director Shawn O'Leary said.
The detour is expected to be completed by midsummer, he said.
Once traffic has been rerouted onto the Robinson Street detour, construction work will begin on Flood and Robinson.
The first construction phase will be on Flood from Robinson to south of Hayes Street. That portion of the roadway is expected to be completed by mid-October, O'Leary said... FULL ARTICLE
