State revenue collections, boosted by an upswing in personal income tax receipts and continued strong gross production taxes on oil, came in higher than figures for the same month a year ago for the first time since December 2008.
"We can finally say that Oklahoma’s economy appears to be on the mend,” state Treasurer Scott Meacham said Tuesday.
"Now we’re actually starting to see a little bit of an uptick.”
March was the second consecutive month revenue collections exceeded the official estimate, Meacham said.... FULL ARTICLE
