The busy road will be closed from 41st St. south to 61st St. until Monday morning
TULSA, Okla. — One of Tulsa's busiest roads will be impassable for about two miles all weekend due to a bridge project on Interstate 44.
It's part of an ongoing widening project that has kept the major east-west highway through Tulsa continuously under construction for months.
The Oklahoma Department of Transportation told KRMG Friday that Riverside Drive must remain closed through the weekend, and that the work will go forward regardless of rain.
In the event of severe weather, work would halt temporarily.
ODOT does plan to have the road opened again by Monday morning.
