JENKS - The entity pursuing plans to build a medical complex and possibly a hospital in Jenks has ties to St. Francis Hospital.
Land records show that the owner of the property at the northeast corner of U.S. 75 and 111th Street is Foundation Land Holding Co.-Jenks #1 LLC of Tulsa, which bought the land in May 2009 from Caprock Development Partners for $3.9 million.
Tom Cooper, chairman and chief executive officer of the Warren Professional Building Corp., said the foundation is a subsidiary of the William K. Warren Foundation, which established St. Francis in 1959 and Laureate Psychiatric Clinic and Hospital in 1989.
"It takes a lot of planning into a parcel of this size," Cooper said.
Cooper said there are no specific building plans and any would take a "very long period of time.
"One of the uses approved was for hospital use. What we see is population growth out there and improvement to the highways." FULL ARTICLE
