TULSA – When people analyze metropolitan Tulsa’s growth potential, they usually focus on downtown’s renaissance, Arkansas River options, Tulsa Hills, Glenpool’s City Hall complex, or a few ever-percolating staples like Bixby and the Broken Arrow Expressway corridor.
The Catoosa Chamber of Commerce wants its namesake community on that list – and a growing number of executives expect its emergence.
“It’s just really unlimited there because they have a strong pro-development city leadership,” said Mendy Parish, a retail specialist with CB Richard Ellis of Oklahoma. “You’ve got everything you need for super development.”
The eastern Tulsa suburb of 7,000 people sits in an enviable position. Nestled within rolling forested hills along the legendary Route 66 highway, Catoosa often found its economic momentum siphoned off by Claremore to the east or Tulsa to the west. The slopes and valleys that gave Catoosa its beauty also made putting in roads and sewers more expensive, helping spread housing development to other areas... FULL ARTICLE
