Roads look clear as Cowboys, Sooners open football seasons

Roads are looking good for travelers headed to either Stillwater or Norman on Interstate 35 for the season openers, according to the Oklahoma Department of Transportation.

Are you prepared? Do you have a plan and know which way you are going? Are you ready to run? Can you pass? Are you ready to line up?

If so, then let's get to the stadium, 'cause it's time for some football ... barring delays, of course.

I saw where there will be road construction around the OU stadium at least during the first game of the season this year.

But how about Interstate 35?

Will there still be work going on there that will cause more than the usual bottleneck?

And what about farther south?

It seems like most years there is a problem driving to Texas for the Red River Shoot-out and any other game down there.
