SH 123 bridge to be replaced

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation plans to replace the State Highway 123 bridge that crosses the Caney River in Bartlesville.

Transportation department officials will discuss the project’s impact at a 6 p.m. Thursday meeting at the Bartlesville Community Center, 300 SE Adams Blvd. The meeting also will start a public comment period that will end Jan. 20. A public comment form will be available at Thursday’s meeting. All project materials and a public comment form will be available online following the meeting at www.odot.org/publicmeetings.

The SH 123 bridge is a truss bridge built in 1937. It is considered structurally deficient, and is posted with a 10-ton weight limit, ODOT construction engineer Jennifer Bullard said in a telephone interview on Monday... FULL ARTICLE
