Signs installed for I-44 exits in Oklahoma City work zone

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation has installed signs for I-44 exit ramps on northbound I-235 in Oklahoma City to minimize confusion in the heavily traveled work zone.

“We’re sorry for the inconvenience and we have corrected it and we want people to be safe in our work zones,” said transportation department spokeswoman Lisa Shearer-Salim.

The department installed the signs at the I-44 ramps after inquiries from The Oklahoman about the lack of clear information for motorists needing to go east or west on I-44 or exit at NW 63 Street. An exit sign for NW 63 Street was also erected... FULL ARTICLE
