Street Crews: Plowing Could Take Time

OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Oklahoma City Police Department said that trucks were getting on and off the Interstate easily on Wednesday after being stuck in the snow the day before.
Police said city streets are a different story, and going in and out of the city may take some time.
"Just been mainly on the highways so highways, aren't bad. It's the secondary roads are terrible,” said Clint Paxson, a truck driver.
OCPD Capt. Patrick Stewart added that the bulk of drivers found themselves stuck often not too far away from their own homes. “If you drive through most of these residential neighborhoods right now, most people cannot get out their driveways,” he said.
Police said because so many people stayed off the roads because of the snowstorm, there have been few road accidents.
Street crews have been working around the clock to clear the roads, focusing on designated snow routes, police said... FULL ARTICLE
