Two U.S. highways and a state highway are among the roads that remain closed today as crews continue their round-the-clock efforts to dig out from Tuesday's blizzard. But warmer weather is on the way.
The National Weather Service predicted an afternoon high for today of near 17. But the temperature at Will Rogers World Airport was already 18 degrees at 1 p.m.
Frigid temperatures continued to create slick and hazardous conditions in middle and eastern regions of the state this morning, the Oklahoma Department of Transportation reported. The morning low at the airport was 4 degrees, though other Mesonet stations in the Oklahoma City area recorded temperatures as low as minus 1... FULL ARTICLE
