The Oklahoma PTA, which supports a state question that would increase funding for public schools, allowed bumper stickers to be made available and information sheets supporting the measure to be passed out during a meeting in the Senate chamber at the state Capitol.
State Ethics Commission rules prohibit anyone from disseminating material in a public building for a campaign involving a candidate or a ballot measure.
A complaint would have to be filed with the Ethics Commission for the panel to consider whether a violation occurred. Punishment would range from a private reprimand to a fine.
