A white van carrying state officials and media members bounced over potholes and cracks along the east leg of the Inner Dispersal Loop on Tuesday as it headed toward the road’s newly paved areas.
“Mr. auditor, out of the four sections of the IDL, this one is the best leg,” said Gary Ridley, director of the Oklahoma Department of Transportation.
“It’s pretty rough,” responded Steve Burrage, Oklahoma’s state auditor and inspector.
The auditor is in charge of ensuring that Oklahoma’s $2.6 billion in stimulus funds “is spent free of waste, fraud and abuse,” Burrage said... FULL ARTICLE
