ODOT: Overpass work to begin by early fall

Work to replace an overpass on Van Buren, over the BNSF Railway tracks, will begin by early fall.

A pre-construction meeting possibly will be held this month, Oklahoma Department of Transportation spokeswoman Lisa Shearer-Salim said.

"Nothing will start until after they have that initial meeting, so we're looking at September to early October for a start date, and I won't know an actual date until later this month," she said. "People can expect work definitely by the early part of fall."

This is a common timeline, Shearer-Salim said. When a project is awarded, it usually takes 60 days before the contractor can get everything mobilized and ready to go out on site... FULL ARTICLE
