OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma Department of Public Safety says fewer traffic fatalities occurred in August than during the same period last year.
Officials say there were 47 fatalities on Oklahoma roads last month, 23 less than the 70 reported in August 2009.
According to the agency, there were six motorcyclists and three pedestrians who died in crashes during August. Eight of the fatality crashes were alcohol-related, in the opinion of the investigating state, county or municipal officer... FULL ARTICLE
