OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahoma's general revenue fund collections totaled $576.8 million in April, up 13 percent from the same month a year ago and 3 percent below expectations, the Office of State Finance reported Monday.

The figures fit a general trend of steady improvement in the state's financial situation over the past year.

General revenue fund collections for the fiscal year ending June 30 total $4.1 billion, or 10 percent above the same period a year ago.
