Assurances were made to city councilors this week that although many Fix Our Streets projects are upcoming in Tulsa, they will be spaced out so as not to cause serious traffic congestion problems.
Councilor Bill Christiansen said during this week's committee meetings that with all of the street work going on, drivers will never be free of orange barrels.
"I'm hoping traffic flow is being considered with all of this," he said.
Public Works Department Deputy Director of Engineering Paul Zachary said projects are not being scheduled adjacent to one another if it can be helped.
"It's a matter of sequencing all of the plans and coordinating with the contractors," he said... FULL ARTICLE
