The only draft of full legislation for medical marijuana removes THC limits, allows smokables. What else would it do?

A trade organization has released 270 pages of model legislation that would provide clarity to businesses and patients as the state's medical marijuana program launches with only emergency rules that have caused controversy and drawn legal challenges.

With a tight timeline for implementation required by State Question 788, the Oklahoma Board of Health was tasked with passing the emergency rules, which it did July 10. Gov. Mary Fallin the next day signed off on the rules despite later directing the board, per counsel from Attorney General Mike Hunter, to rescind last-minute amendments including a ban on smoking as a delivery method and a requirement that dispensary managers be licensed pharmacists.

Bud Scott, director of the trade organization New Health Solutions Oklahoma, said the rules were designed to effectively kill medical marijuana in the state. His group's draft legislation would include no restriction on delivery method for medical marijuana, and it would remove THC limits... FULL ARTICLE
