A $141,455 contract was signed with Traffic Lighting and Systems Inc. to upgrade traffic signal technology at Highway 51 and Avery Drive, Second Street and Main Street, and Highway 97 and Morrow Road. Construction will begin in late winter and is expected to be finished by the end of spring.

This method of detection is a problem for bicyclists who have a problem triggering the loops because of narrow width.
