If you drive Interstate 35 on the south side of the metro, you've probably encountered this area:
When will something be done about the I-35 northbound exit to the I-240 westbound entrance ramp? I have frequently traveled westbound I-240 with the intention of exiting onto the southbound I-35 ramp. The I-35 exit ramp has a yield sign, but I have never experienced any vehicle entering the I-240 westbound lanes to even attempt to yield to the exiting traffic. The I-240 traffic wishing to exit onto the I-35 ramp must “bully” their way on to the exit ramp and often those attempting to enter I-240 westbound (after failing to yield as the posted sign requires) either start blowing their horn or giving other signs to express their displeasure, even though they are the ones who broke the law. They continually ignore the approaching vehicles, even if the turn signal is indicating an intention to exit onto the ramp. I have even had to make a complete stop in the outside lane of I-240 westbound before getting a break to enter the I-35 southbound ramp.
