New plan process launched

Tulsans love their cars as much as anyone, maybe more than most Americans. That's not likely to change any time soon.

But change does happen and when it comes to transportation, planning for such changes has to occur long before anything is built.

So planners with the Indian Nations Council of Governments have begun work on the Tulsa Regional Transit System Plan, an effort that aims to identify and prioritize possible new transportation corridors, and the mode of transit that might work best in each corridor.

The idea is to aim for not only what people in Tulsa want in terms of future transit options, but also for what is achievable.
