LUTHER, Okla. — An interchange that will allow motorists to enter and exit the Turner Turnpike, or Interstate 44, in eastern Oklahoma County has opened to traffic.

Oklahoma County Commissioner Willa Johnson and Oklahoma Secretary of Transportation Gary Ridley were the first motorists to use the new Luther-Jones Interchange on Friday.

The Oklahoma Turnpike Authority says the interchange was built in cooperation with Oklahoma County, the City of Oklahoma City, the Oklahoma Department of Transportation and the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority.

Motorists will be able to exit eastbound and enter the turnpike westbound.

Officials say cash customers will pay 75 cents to use the new interchange.
