Road projects, new buses and runway lighting at Will Rogers World Airport are some of the items Oklahoma City will pay for with more than $44 million from the most recently passed federal economic stimulus package.

The measure, which became law in February, offered money through each state and through grant programs the city will use for a variety of projects in various departments.

The largest chunk of the money will be for transportation and infrastructure improvements. Oklahoma City officials expect to get about $15 million for infrastructure improvements from $464.6 million received by the state.

City officials said more money could become available as they continue to look for grant opportunities.
