Tulsa getting $3.3 million from federal bill

WASHINGTON — A trillion-dollar spending bill headed to the president's desk Monday includes millions of dollars in projects for Tulsa and other areas in Oklahoma.

Projects included new buses for Tulsa, money for Tulsa Public Schools' police force and dropout program, funds for OU's North Tulsa Specialty Clinic and a mobile health clinic for Oklahoma State University, and funds to help the Oklahoma City National Memorial Foundation.

Despite those projects for local communities, the huge bill, which would fund a number of agencies of the federal government, failed to get a single vote from Oklahoma's congressional delegation.

The Senate passed the bill Sunday without a vote from either of its Oklahoma members, Jim Inhofe and Tom Coburn. The House had approved it earlier... FULL ARTICLE
