Several streets in southern and eastern Tulsa flooded near rush hour Thursday evening, stranding motorists and stalling traffic.
Heavy rain beginning at about 4 p.m. overwhelmed drainage systems in the area, leading to localized flooding and high water in multiple areas.
Tulsa County and numerous surrounding counties are under a flood watch until Friday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service in Tulsa.
