Changes are coming to your weekend drive if you use Riverside Drive. Both northbound and southbound lanes of Riverside will be shutdown at Interstate 44 beginning Friday at 7pm and will remain closed through 6am Monday, according to information from the Oklahoma Department of Transportation.
ODOT says the pedestrian trail will also be closed as it goes under Interstate 44.
Crews will be working on the Arkansas River Bridge that is already closed to traffic to add a lane. The Riverside Drive closure at 44 is part of the continuing project to widen the highway. The detour will take drivers to Peoria at either 41st or 61st... FULL ARTICLE
