The highway alignment will cross Choctaw Creek just south of the historic “swinging” suspension bridge.
Texas Department of Transportation officials met with representatives of C. Watts & Sons Construction Company, Inc. of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Friday, May 14, 2010 to discuss traffic safety and construction procedures to be used during the upcoming rehabilitation of US 82 from Bethany Road to US 69 east of Sherman.
This project will feature earthwork and grading, stabilized flexible base pavement, hot mix asphaltic surfacing, signs, pavement markings, and bridges at Choctaw Creek, Choctaw Creek Relief, and Mill Creek.
